Wildcard Wednesday: “Somebody help me, I’m being spontaneous!”

Hullo, all! It is another Wednesday, which means it’s time for some fun random stuff here at the FBB. I’m gonna kick it off with a “Name That Youngster”, since it’s been awhile:

Can you identify this current Major Leaguer?

Happy birthdays today include Jim Belushi, Wade Boggs, and Neil Patrick Harris.

Other historical occurences:

-King John signed the Magna Carta at Runnymede, England (1215)

-George Washington was appointed commander-in-chief of the American army (1775)

-Two French balloonists died in the world’s first fatal aviation accident (1785)

-Arkansas became America’s 25th state (1836)

-Justin Clark, a minor leaguer in Corsicana, TX, hit 8 home runs in a single game (1902)

-The first night game was played at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, where Cincinnati’s Johnny Vander Meer threw his second consecutive no-hitter (1938)

-Giants pitcher Juan Marichal no-hit the Houston Colt .45’s (1963)

Yay for the Cubs, for winning two whole consecutive games! Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Pena were pretty happy, as you can see.
